Inducted 2026
Jeff Medders grew up on a ranch in southeastern Oklahoma, where his passion for the western lifestyle—and for storytelling—took root at an early age. By his junior year of high school, he had already set his sights on becoming a sportscaster, a goal he has pursued with unwavering focus ever since.
In 1991, Medders became a defining voice of ProRodeo, a role he has carried for more than three decades. His connection to the sport expanded in 2012 when his company, Geronimo Productions, began producing television coverage for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), helping bring the sport to a broader audience.
A pivotal moment came in 2020 when Rural Media Group acquired the PRCA’s television rights. As President and General Manager of The Cowboy Channel, Medders played a key role in elevating the visibility and reach of ProRodeo nationwide.
Today, Medders is recognized as one of the premier television hosts in western sports, known for his versatility, authenticity, and deep connection to the horse and the western way of life.
His contributions to the industry have earned him induction into the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum’s Hall of Fame, the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma State University College of Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame. He has also been honored as a Distinguished Alumnus of Northern Oklahoma College. Medders has also received the Lane Frost Award in 2025.
Jeff and his wife Diana have four children and live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Born March 12, 1963 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma
