2026 Recipient – Troy Weekly

Troy Weekley

Troy Weekley was born and raised in an area not normally associated with rodeo – Miami, Florida. He didn’t stay away from the arena long, however. During high school, Weekley competed as a bull rider and tie-down roper. He worked for Weekley Asphalt Paving, Inc. after high school but didn’t fully shake the rodeo bug. He started competing in team roping six years after graduation and continued for sixteen years.

In 1986, Weekley formed Five Star Rodeo, Inc. as a stock contractor and rodeo committee and started producing rodeos. The Davie ProRodeo has held over three hundred performances under Weekley’s direction. He has produced the Southeastern Circuit Finals Rodeo since 2009. Weekley has given back to the rodeo community with service on the PRCA Executive Board, the National Finals Rodeo Committee Board, and the ProRodeo Hall of Fame Board of Trustees. He has also produced youth rodeos for over 30 years and served as president of the Florida Junior Rodeo Association. His dedication to the sport has earned him nominations for PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year and PRCA Rodeo of the Year. He has been honored by the WPRA with the Outstanding Individual of the Year Award in 2017. And USA Today People’s Choice Awards has selected the Weekley Brothers Davie ProRodeo as the #1 Rodeo three times.

Not only has Weekley served his rodeo community, but he has also served his hometown of Davie. He sat on the Davie/Cooper City Chamber of Commerce and has received their Humanitarian Award. In 2010, Weekley was inducted into the Broward County Sports Hall of Fame. In 2011, he and his brothers were honored at the Old Davie School Historical Museum for their contributions to rodeo and the Davie area.

Without a doubt, Troy Weekley is one of rodeo’s true pioneers and we are honored to present him with the ProRodeo Hall of Fame Pioneer Award.
